Art show, coming up! ...and more to come :)

I have been very creatively busy this week. I am still working on the illustrations for the Fullerton artwalk show on Friday, July 1st (7-10pm, in the alternative gallery space next to Max Bloom's cafe). I hope that mythological-type images involving death's heads is piratey enough for the 'pirates vs. ninjas' theme.

I also volunteered to teach an art lesson at the childrens' hospital in LB, and agreed to help design an instructional art book, based on the projects that the cancer patients at the hospital worked on throughout the last year. Little did I know that the book hasn't even been written yet, and all I have to work with is a huge array of snapshots taken at the hospital (plus a few layouts that the previous designer left us with). I certainly have my work cut out for me, but I intend to do the best job that I possibly can.

Once my schedule opens up a bit in July, I have an idea to gather a group of artists to take some poor unsuspecting gallery by storm... details to come.

Don't forget to come to the artwalk! July 1st! Invite a friend; it's a cool scene :) ...and Kevin of Max Blooms makes a mean latte. My friend John Sollom will have some of his fabulous paintings/assemblages on display at the Pas Gallery this month too. See you there.
